I’m not sure if 47/50 and 42 St are exactly the same color or if 47/50 is merely a lighter shade of red and 42 St more of an orange which would sort of fit the scheme since the original tiles at 34 St were a dark yellow. Actually, the so called “yellow” on most of the IND is more of an orange and the only true yellow IMHO is the bright yellow in Queens at Sutphin, Van Wyck and Kew Gardens. Following the colors of the spectrum as I mentioned in another post can be a bit confusing since even with the improved lighting retrofitted it can be difficult to tell the difference between the blue, indigo and violet except in a very few places. |
