Sterilization procedures would require changing those gloves after each contamination event. The MTA hasn't really pushed to get the sufficient number of gloves out to do a clean hand operation and it would be logistically difficult/impossible.Doctors and Nurse have disposable gloves and sanitize after every interaction with certain things being done 'gloves on' and other 'gloves off'. Its much more difficult to get on a train, run for 30 minutes, sweat, punch at 59th street, open your bottle of water for a quick sip, go back and isolate a door leaf, snap test it, get back in the cab and repeat without slipping up and contaminating yourself on a SINGLE pair of gloves. |
