The idea of chopping off the ends of perfectly good R46 cars to trim them down to 60' so that they can run on the Eastern Division is something even the late Terry Jones would not have considered doing. Then what do they do with the 15' ends? Make 30' mini-cars with them and send them to SIRT? Do they really think the welding job will be that good? The first one of those cars that breaks apart is going to be one massive lawsuit for the MTA, especially if it happens over Broad Channel. |
