But if they can have a fleet of cars with identical couplers that DON'T need adapters why retain a fleet of cars that need an extra piece of equipment? As far as signs are concerned, its not only the north signs that are critical but if the R-46s are put on the N it would be a lot easier to swap them off with a W which I understand gets done from time to time. |
