The surface system; bus routes, are so very complicated (at least to me anyway). They must serve and cover all neighborhoods near, and most importantly far, from the subway system. Planning new routes or redesigning a part of, or all of the bus network needs to take into consideration best access to various streets, main and smaller ones; safe stopping points for passengers' access, as above thorough as possible coverage of neigborhoods not near transit, and most importantly traffic, mid day evening and rush hour. |
