Just enough time spent to strap on that MTA Parachute and then jump. Oddly enough he takes credit for turning the system around while the MDBF continues to drop from where it was 10 years ago. When I left in 2011, the MDBF was just below it's peak of 180,000 miles in 2009. Now it's down to 120,000 miles (a 33% drop) while the average age of the fleet went from 20-24 years (a 20% increase) but still within the expected 35-40 year lifespan of a subway car.
