So why did they go with the Thales units for the 7, instead of the proven Siemens ones? Was it a question of legally having to go with the low bidder? Sometimes, you get what you pay for. Did they not think to put temperature and/or water/ice resistance in the specifications, and make sure the parts were tested to meet them? |
