Posted by BrooklynTrain on Tue Dec 3 21:51:08 2019 My credit card company said the LIRR has known about its inability to accept chip credit cards at chip readers for about a week, but still has not fixed the problem. How hard can this be? The LIRR should not collect fares until this problem is solved.I can understand if the Mineola platform (such a busy hub) wasn't shoveled at 4am or 5am. But when it's mid-morning and it's still not shoveled - full of ice, slush, etc, - that is a disaster waiting to happen. Piss poor job. What are the fares going for? This is an embarrassment to the people of NYC. Hopefully the Governor will be able to fix these two problems. |
