The Hudson Line would benefit from catenary, particularly if NYS decides to electrify the entire line from Penn to Albany (so Amtrak can use ACS64s rather than some new not-yet-invented dual mode). 22 miles of double electrification is nothing compared to the other 120 miles.

Metro North could buy some green striped M8s for the Hudson line if they want to replace dual mode service with EMUs.
