But, the high platforms, presence of third rail, and existing tunnels already limit the size and type of freight cars that can go through.The Hudson Line ROW is wide. Sooner or later it really ought to be made usable for fast freight service from LI and Queens to the rest of the country, and the space is there to do it. |
