They didn't just show up on Saturday and have it done by Sunday and hope that the new bridge would fit. Without knowing anything more about it, I'd guess that there was months of work being done there in preparation of doing the lift and drop. I'm sure part of that work was examining the existing structure. Yes it is still possible that something would not go smoothly but you do everything you can in advance to ensure that it does.They sure did make sure the new bridge would fit. The old bridge wasn't going back in because someone made some miscalculations. It was now or never. Bill Newkirk |
