It was not completely uninhabitable. (DOT punching Seventh Avenue through did some damage). It has since gentrified very nicely and very nice along that waterfront with that urban cancer gone. Many cities are tearing down their elevated highways, Seattle's Alaskan Way being the latest. Niagara Falls just did. |
