I can't fully testify to the food, but Cold Spring does have a VERY nice view of the Hudson (and the West Shore freight line :-)). At the station, you have to walk away from Manhattan-bound side (the Poughkeepsie-bound side leads to the town, which isn't as interesting as used to be, IMHO) and just walk a couple of blocks until you reach the landing which juts out onto the Hudson.Otherwise, I also recommend going to Poughkeepsie. The station is historic, and if you really need to tide yourself over, there is newsstand food. :-) |
