In the planning stage and actually in use are not the same thing. 1932 was still the early stages of the depression and there was no guarantee than any of the planned lines would be built as evidenced by the delay in the opening of the SAS and the existence of station shells at Utica upper and S 4 St. 10 years went by between the opening of the IND to Rockaway Av and extension to ENY and eventually Euclid. |
