Fascinating you should mention that bit of history. The F from Brooklyn was pretty seriously packed during the rush hours. Going southbound, it always waited to pick up passengers from D and B trains, but rarely the other way around. As for getting the newest equipment, I thought it was just because Queens Blvd and Jamaica head the heaviest ridership - it wasn't a political matter. Getting the newest equipment bit it in the butt, though. |
