At least we had much more variety in rolling stock. And the stations and signage were original, yet aged and grungy. I kinda miss the old days. Bill: I like a lot of the new cars, especially on the IRT. I do miss the old cars like the Lo-V's and the great Redbirds, not to mention the PCC's on the Newark City Subway. I miss my youth too but I can't get that back either. There's always something new and exciting on the transit scene and the one place that we all are going to is into the future. PS Thanks again for keeping the memories alive with your calendars. This months issue has a full ten car train of Lo-V's on the White Plains Road Line. Now that was a class act. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
