Maybe due to the prior bumping block incident which predates my time there. There's no ASC enforcement below 15. PTC will not be in effect in Atlantic Terminal, and is not yet "turned on" anywhere on the branch. When I was a trainee, one engineer told me it was "OK to hit 7"... any more than that, I'd rather gap than derail. If I gap, I'll be back at work the next day.With Eng being a Port Jefferson rider, I don't see him cutting dual modes on his home branch. The next guy might agree with you. |
