The Babylon end has some industrial businesses in the way. There might be room to move some of them around in the same general vicinity.

The Farmingdale end would require taking a lot of houses. Unlikely.

It might actually be possible at Hicksville (to connect Port Jeff), due to being elevated over the station parking lot.
