The PRR called WAS to NYP trains EB, but for me growing up around DC, NYC was obviously north.And for total BS, the Southern Pacific defined toward San Francisco (HQ location) as WB, away EB. So a train from Portland to Oakland (ferry/later bus connection to SF) was a WB, but compass north to Portland was an EB. |
