I disagree on the breakers/panels. SqD has the indicator feature, but GE always engineered the specialty (ArcFault, Ground Fault) to fit a standard slot without fouling the wire gutter area unlike both SqD, Eaton and some Siemens.And then there is the copper v (junk) aluminum bus bar issue. SqD catalogs copper--but the distributors don't stock them and they are not price competitive. I have had to replace burnt out aluminum busbars of Murray (Siemens), SqD, Challenger(Bryant) and others, but never a GE even when they were mixing alum and copper parts. FWIW, if memory serves, it was the GE Metroliners that first went into service because the Westinghouse units had issues. |
