It's not clear to me how deep the LL loop is, it's possible it actually is far enough down that it would connect beneath the 456 track level, perhaps to the mid-point mezzanine where the escalators on the west end of the 7 platform turn around.

It's 33 steps down the stairway from the south side of 42nd street just east of Park to the 4/5/6 mezzanine.

From the top of that stairway, it's gradually downhill to the top of any stairway that goes from the Upper Level to the Lower Level. Then it's a comparable flight of stairs down to the Lower level.

So I would say the Lower Level itself is a few feet lower than the 4/5/6 mezzanine.

Next, it's quite a ways down from the Lower Level to the tracks, whereas the steps from the 4/5/6 mezzanine to the 4/5/6 are a short flight.

Therefore I would conclude that the Lower Level tracks are quite a few feet lower than the 4/5/6 tracks, maybe as much as 10 feet lower.
