Or, south from GCT to 33 St and then west to Penn Station. Except that it would be pointless, since the LIRR tracks at GCT won't connect with the Metro-North tracks above, and wind up in Queens where the tracks from NYP go anyway. Unless one unpowered track was built, for emergency use, ramping up from the new LIRR station below to the Metro-North tunnel above. |
