That would be a pretty steep incline to make to get from an el to underground coming down along the park to Navy St.. Myrtle takes a dive down starting at Clinton Ave. towards downtown and levels out just after Ashland. On the other side, the hill starts down about Washington Ave towards Broadway and levels out after Classon.Thinking about the Grand/Myrtle intersection, Lexington Ave trains heading to City Line must've had slow to a crawl down to the sharp RH onto Grand, as that branch was about halfway down the hill heading to Broadway. It might be easier to use the hill between Emerson and Grand to make the new line head underground. |
