Singapore is just as overcrowded, though mainly on the red [north-south] and green [east-west] lines (the first two built). The new lines like the blue [downtown] and soon-to-be brown [thompson east coast] lines are/will help though because they create alternate routes of getting from A to B. Blue at least I could find a seat outside rush hours.I also had similar crowding in Kyoto, so it's not just a Tokyo thing. That said despite Tokyo's crowds they are reliable and clean too. |
