Tokyo is like that on many lines, but I have taken the subways in Beijing and Hong Kong, and they are no more crowded than NYC, and much more reliable (and clean).I have a good friend originally from DC and NYC who now lives in Beijing. He has traveled through most of East Asia, and reports similar experiences - Tokyo being severely overcrowded but other cities good. |
