Not that the Class 1s don't screw up, but at least they have evolved procedures that mostly keep trackworkers safe, Amtrak excepted. Recent thread about BART being fined for killing two during a strike.It's the exact opposite, WMATAs' safety rules are convoluted and over complicated to the point of being contradictive. The rule book runs over 1,200 pages. Internally it is know as the brick. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
