Ja, but maybe that was co-ordinated with the conductor. Surely the guy poking his head out the conductor window sees that, and can communicate with platform guy whether that's copacetic or no.During rush hour, the train you 'miss' by not having your bud hold the door for you is followed by another in less than five minutes, and you don't have to run for it. Door holding does no meaningful good and surely does do harm, trains get held back a little at every stop which reduces the capacity of the whole line and increases crowding, which then makes the problem worse, etc. |
