By the early 70s,the Eastern division practically owed the 27/30s.The R1/9 took over the J and L almost completely at one point until 1976..then exclusively on the J while the M and L used R 16s,27,30 and whatever could be thrown together to make service. 1977 saw the end of the old city cars,and the R27/30s returned fully to the east,along with more 16s. The 16s ruled the Jamaica line Again during the 80s. |
