As will be dealt with in a future Bus Almanac on BusChat, the East Side's Second Avenue "bustitution" in 1933 was part of a series of inaugurals of new bus routes on June 26, at 12:01 A.M. (Of that group of five routes, two were ultimately combined after one-way conversions, and two routes disappeared in or just before World War II.) |
