More or less, cause the subway saw very little of that money.
What got me was the fact they tried to say some of that money was used to buy new cars for the subway...vars that were ordered way before the plam even became public.
It was only when that fact was presented to them, that they admitted that statement was in error.
The 600 million that was suppose to be used by the Subway was pissed away on the railroads.
The rapid transit lines that were begun were already on the books for construction, along with part of the funds to build them.

The bond issues that came afterwards was the State's trying the three card monte with the city.
2.5 billion dollars should have built much more than what we got...instead thr LIRR and PCRR got the majority...whatever left over was hijacked by political hacks under the table.
The was enough Fed money available to get the SAS built at least in Manhattan...and more in Queens...plus a jump on the Utica avenue subway.
Washington DC started Metro around the same time the new routes program began here...and they managed to build an entire system of over100 miles..
While MTA?
Not much.
