Exactly, which is a much better use of crew time than patching a 10 minute gap (assuming the needed equipment isn't trapped by the issue causing the delay).And then of course when a major issue arises you don't have any cards left to play. If you do find a gap train (laugh along with me) and a board crew, there's still the matter of what to do with the extra crew and trainset. Do you sideline a regular road crew and train whose interval was stolen, do you run them extra despite delays and congestion, etc. Not a lot of good optio s that don't waste resources. |
