The neat thing about the Almond Joys was it was a two-man car, only the center door opened, and the conductor had a fare box strapped to a center pole. Also, the familiar whooping take off sound the Almond Joys had on the MFSE,did not happen on the single car NHSL cars.Also, IRC, they were very slow accelerating. |
