Thomas Crapper was an eminent Victorian plumbing fixture manufacturer. He made some technical improvements in the flush toilet, but was not its inventor; it can be traced back to Elizabethan times. And “crap” for excrement far predates him; his name is a happy(?) coincidence.Alan Follett South San Francisco, CA |
