There's a couple photos online that show the DeKalb Ave. station on the Lex looking towards Bed-Stuy on DeKalb Av. Shows what became Pratt Studios where I took Industrial Design classes 30 years after the el came down. The studs for the staircases were still in the sidewalk on Grand when I went there.I do believe I've also seen photos taken from the street looking up Grand towards Myrtle. Not a lot of room for auto traffic between the pillars. Would like to see photos of the structure under where Grand and Myrtle intersected again. When the Myrtle structure was being stripped in 1970 I do believe you could see the tangle of structure at that intersection quite clearly. |
