Back in the day, Brighton locals were timed departing Ave H northbound to Newkirk Ave while the express wasn’t. I remember once returning home from school the Q express I was on overshot Newkirk Ave once by a few cars, thinking two and a half car lengths R68 consist. Sheepshead Bay northbound both tracks were timed at one point too, not sure if the local is still timed but the express rolls right on in.Worst signal timing I experience every night is the 4 crossing over to the local at Atlantic Ave. No train ahead but still has to stop at the home signal with a complete stop, yet approaching the signal slow as hell.
