Posted by rbseabeach on Wed Apr 11 15:15:18 2018 I remember back to pre-1983 "red flag" days.The N and the B (The B was the west end back then) would go express from 36th to Pacific Street just like the B/D pull into west 4th from 34th or the 4/5 pull into 86th from 125th St. Ever since the red flag days of 1983, the N & D now travel at a constant speed until then get to 25th Street southbound or Union Street northbound. They always put the breaks on and slow up, then they speed up again to pull into Atlantic Ave or 36th Street. Why is this so? I have not ever been on the express where it goes fully express from start to finish. I even recall looking out the front windows and seeign all green lights. |
