The problem with locations like Pitkin Yd and even the one in Westchester Yd is that those locations are basically branches off the mainline that would require some sort of an extra service to operate during off hours. 148 St on the other hand was merely an extension of the existing mainline past the terminal station as would be the case if the Livonia Av Line were extended through the yard. |
