Any crews that can’t figure how many cars they have shouldn’t even be station cleaners let alone T/Os or C/Rs. Back in the pre Chrystie days of the IND the CC operated 10 car trains in the peak and 8 car trains in the shoulders. BBs operated 8 cars in the peak and 6 cars in the shoulder. What would these crew do if there were only one type of subway car on the entire system? Actually, a few years ago there was a similar swap between R-46s on the A and R-32s on the C with the r32s trains on the c being in 8 car consists and there was no problem. |
