The uptown services that go to upper Manhattan and Queens while on the same level (lower) actually go in opposite directions so an Xover between the N/B 6 Av tk would lead a train against traffic on the tk coming from 8 Ave. The downtown services coming from those locations are also on the same level (upper) facing in opposite directions.
