But was that one rush hour train in each direction well used?If you gave me one train per day each way that allowed me to spend 8 hours at work, I might go out of my way to try to arrange my work schedule to use that train. But if not many people did that (say, because transferring to the 7 at Vernon Jackson and then maybe to another train in Manhattan took too long), then it could have been reasonable to expect that more trains wouldn't bring proportionately more people. |
