No, we didn't chase labor anywhere. The crony capitalists decided they preferred semi-slave workers in generally authoritarian states. The former joint GM-Toyota plant in Fremont/Warm Springs CA proved that a prpoerly managed plant could produce carts at copetitive prices and pay union scale. The desire to mve production out of the US represents naked greed, not economicnecessity. |
