Once, and the SUV behind immediately got the idea and didn't undertake despite there being plenty of room to. There was an Uber or other car service car (black car with TLC plates) in the left lane on the thruway, going way too leisurely a speed for late night. The moment I could pass, I shot in front, switched in front of him, and slowed down. The guy behind did not undertake despite plenty of room. At around 55 MPH the taxi moved. The SUV did a single quick light flash to me before I shot back to full speed. Only reason I tried it was because I had encountered and struggled to pass him once before (I had stopped at a rest stop in between) and figured he needed to be educated on the ways of upstate.The other fun thing I did was try and block in a left lane hog with no EZ Pass into the EZ Pass only high speed area at the Harriman toll plaza. I had the help of a Trailways bus. Almost worked, but the guy realized what was happening and slowed down excessively to try and cut over. If nothing else he hopefully realized that the left lane is a terrible place to be if you don't know what you're doing... |
