It takes two full years for Germans to earn a driver's license, and in that time, they don't just learn how to drive properly. They're taught everything about a car--including how to do minor repairs, and what every component of the vehicle does.What Germans think of American drivers is unprintable, and we have many times the number of cars, drivers, and road-miles they do. We also have a collision rate far out of proportion to the numbers, even after accounting for the differences in scale. |
