After the Fulton St el shut down in 1940, the trackways were partially covered over so that passengers going the the Manhattan bound IND wouldn’t have to either cross Fulton St or use the overpass. Exactly how long after the Fulton St el was shut down the trackways were covered over I don’t know. |
