Transit Museum Encourages Darius McCollum Activities |
|
Posted by BusMgr on Sun Oct 15 14:44:10 2017 The New York Transit Museum recently e-mailed its members an advertisement for Halloween costumes that are being sold at its museum store. One is an NYCT Track Worker Costumer, the description of which encourages individuals to "[k]eep the subways running with this authentic NYCT track worker costume!" Another is a Metro-North Train Engineer Costume, the description of which states that "[e]very kid wants to drive a train, and now you can!"It seems a bit hypocritical for the MTA transit agencies to express outrage over the antics of Darius McCollum when they, themselves, are encouraging kids to keep the subways running by wearing the uniform of, and pretending to be, a track worker, and to tell kids that they can actually "drive" a train themselves by wearing an engineer's uniform, both of which being made available and sold by the museum. |
