Plan of LION would have brought it in under the WTC. It would be a station not a terminal. LIRR trains would continue to New Jersery, NJT trains would continue on to Long Island. Perhaps LIRR could terminate at Newark Airport and NJT trains at Laguardia thus providing great airport service to downtown.

The real reason for continuing across the rivers is because this notional station would have no room of layups, so get that consist out of here.
