Yes, ordinarily the zones are what counts, but in this oddball situation, I don't think it would be good public relations for the agency to cause a stir for only 60 days when the stations printed on someone's ticket are not stations you can travel to with that ticket. It borders intentional trickery by the agency.When you go into a foreign transit system that you are unfamiliar with and press the stations of origin and destination and the vending machine tells you it will give you a ticket for a certain amount is the customer supposed to check up on the machine to make sure it got the fare right? As an aside, when there are standard fare increases, they don't start charging step-ups on all existing, unexpired tickets, do they? |
