The RBBX equipment fits freight clearances rather than LIRR/3rd Rail clearances. A trap open the wrong way might foul the third rail. More to the point, the equipment might be purrfect, but there still might be something hanging down somewhere. A tie down chain perhaps could take out a third rail cover.
