Packed trains are a sign of a healthy economy

Is it? We aren't quite there yet, although we're heading in that direction. Might also be a sign of people not being able to afford to own a car.

NYC's poor transportation planning is also biting it in the rear end. NJT's never squeezed so many trains into Manhattan as during these days. Even with a downswing in the economy, a new "union station" would still be necessary.
