It's been like a rain forest out here. We were supposed to get El Nino LAST winter and this year was supposed to be a dry one. Goes to show weather research and projections are still all over the map.Stephen mentioned all the plans that were sidetracked because of declining funds or some political infighting so I can understand why there are cheers for the SAS since one can say it's better than nothing. Still I would think that perhaps the MTA and powers-that-be can start thinking of way to extend the subway system to eastern Queens and into SE Brooklyn. Of course what you said about it keeps the "N" train running express in Manhattan. Good enough for me---and never let it go into that Montague Tunnel rat hole ever again.
